Daily painting #150 + GIVE AWAY!

To celebrate daily painting #150 I am having another give away!  Just leave a comment with your favorite painting currently in my shop.  Captain Spectacular will draw one comment out of his pirate ship Friday October 8.
oil on canvas, 6"x8".  After spending all morning with computer work I was facing the weekend w/ no friday painting, blechk.  Only stuff on the easels are 36" square paintings, so I treated myself to this little  20 minute painting before I rush off to the rest of my day.

Scrangles_mcgee!  won the pink roses painting.  And yes, Scrangles,  I love Wayne Thiebaud! Here is the eye patch wearing Captain Spectacular as he cuts out your "tickets" which he then choose to draw from a grocery bag.  Congratulations Scrangles!  And thank you all so much for your encouraging remarks.

 In celebration of my 100th "daily painting" (actually more like 5 a week) here is my first give away.  As you may have read in monday's post I was planning to make daily painting #100 a give away.  But that caused me to seize up .  I am able to paint because I detach from the outcome but if i have to make a painting someone might want then it becomes difficult to paint.  so heres what I decided:  The give away painting is this or any other painting in my etsy store.  To enter for the daily painting #100 (sort of) give away simply mention the painting that makes you happy in a comment here on my blog (yes you have to sign in which is pesky, I know), I will have captain spectacular draw names from a sand pail, and your painting will be on its way!
