Not them, me. The nasturtiums, of course, have their own effortless, if weird, grace. I am quite happy to flail and lurch toward their description until something of them, miraculously, comes through. (Again in one of those wonderful Moroccan bowls.) 30"x20", oil on canvas, took it over to Studio Hop on Hope St. yesterday. The title is from a wonderful On Point interview with Ann Lamott.
Last Wednesday a customer at Studio Hop bought four! large still life paintings of mine in one fell swoop. Thank you! It inspired me to have another go at this one (30"x30") which had been languishing since? January. (Here is that marker sketch on etsy.)
Have you been playing mommy all week? Join me this sunday afternoon for two hours of undiluted adult time, in an Art Museum no less. Its the start of another semmester of The Drawing Room at the RISD Museum. Artists of all levels of expertise, including none at all, will enjoy working from the masterpieces of the RISD collection.
