More Little Dresses

I have several large canvases in the studio which makes these all the more appleaing to work on.

White Dress

Its been gorgeous weather here.  Michael continued to work on replacing our front porch,  our beloved neighboor came over and played with Captain Spectacular,  (he definitly deserves his own special moniker) um anyway I got to paint, and the house got tidied up!  Re this painting:  I do love painting dresses and i have a history with it; my unde3rgrad show featured enormouse paintings of Laura Ashley dresses.  Never the less while I was working on this I kept thinking of this hilarious scene in Bullets over Broadway (wish I could find some scenes with Jim Broadbent as "Warner Purcell";)(yes quick, netflix it!) when john Cusac's character wakes up in the night and starts screaming out his window.

Daily Painting #12

Pink of casapinka showed up at the studio for a tutorial on painting dresses so a dress I painted and here it is, daily painting #12  (you'll have to ask Pink to see hers) :

 We worked from a charming photo of 5 little white dresses.  It felt awkward and difficult,  its so easy to land way out of my comfort zone.  But I am very glad to have done it and will try more.  Thanks Pink!
