Daily painting #1188: Mom with glue gun. I loved their two figures together. From yet another day at good old Mystic Seaport. Its Ray and Sarah again, though I didn't get her likeness here. 8"x10", oil on panel.
10"x8", oil on 1/4"birch panel. From yesterday's still life class. Palette: ultramarine blue, yellow ocre, cad yellow light, windsor red and titanium white with spots of cereulean blue for some of the schmutz on the studio tabletop. I used one .5" bright (squared ended), synthetic brush.
The power sander makes quick work of the panel prep. (Sand, gesso, sand, gesso, sand again if desired.) The RISD 3D store in the Bank Building on North Main St. in Providence will cut birch panels for you!
10"x8", oil on 1/4" birch panel. Palette: ultramarine blue, yellow ocre, quinacridone and titanium white. (Last week in oil painting class we worked with a palette of yellow ocre, ultramarine blue, wndsor red and titanium white.)
