Another series of Sunday afternoon drawing classes at the Rhode Island School of Design Museum is right around the corner. The five classes will be 1:30-3:30 PM, February 24, March 10, March 24, April 28, + May 5. Registration for the Drawing Room is open here or by phone at 401-454-6674. Tuition is $90 for Members and $100 for non-members.
This is a fun way for students of all levels of experience to sharpen their skills, learn more about the museum and spend time with other artists. We will explore composition, color, line, pattern, proportion and portraits, focusing on a differnt gallery (including textiles!) every session.
Beginning artists frequently comment that this class has made the drawing process surprisingly accessible and have been pleased with their Progress. Experienced artists have told me that even with their expertise, they have found the class valuable to their own practice. I was delighted to hear from a docent at the museum that, after years of art historical study, the Drawing Room gave her an entirely new way to understand and enjoy the work.
Hope to see you there!

what a treat!
happiest new year wishes! hope to see you soon.

Hi! Is the dress sketch done from actual dresses or a painting? I would love to buy this for my niece who is studying fashion design in Paris! What size is it and have you priced it?
