Today my students and I all channelled our inner Duane Keiser. He makes it look so easy. Looking at the painting now it appears I was more undone by my darned squareish IKEA plates than the egg. I totally blame it on the Sweeds!
My still life class set up these nectarines in the kitchen today to take advantage of the bright sunlight. But it disappeared behind a thunderstorm and we had to extrapolate in the dim light. Also it was very dark and hard to see what we were painting. I still can't resist that green cloth hanging in the background. maybe tomorrow I will paint something without it.
Captain Spectacular declared the pallet to be terrific and asked for it to be hung in his room as soon as its dry. I love it too.
